The Martians evolved extremely quickly after their planet was created, nearly 5 billion years ago. They lost this ability after a while. 3 billion years ago they had colonised the whole of The Solar System, and had nearly reached Alpha Centuri (Where they evolved into Centurians), but a computer virus trashed all their systems and put them into stasis. 3 billion years later they awoke and were greeted by Humans, in the 22nd Century. (2213 AD)
Martians look like a shapless blob with eyes when they are born, and start off with 90 stomachs. They lose one for every year of their life and in ancient times, they would then have died, but a technology was invented to have 1 artificial stomach.
